Welcome!

The world of dance is responding to the revolution in digital publishing. During this 3 week media elective, you will be a part of it!

Using the reconstruction of Clytemnestra, we will focus on video and audio production methods for the web, and use blogging, podcasting, and online publishing software. We will also go over methods for distributing your own work online, and issues revolving around copyrights.

Students will work in teams to produce media in multiple formates: we will work with video, photo, audio, and text.

  • The goals for the course are three-fold:
    • 1. Learn methods to create an ongoing documentation of your process, while creating opportunities for input to your work.
    • 2. Archive and reinterpret Martha Graham’s work via video, audio, photo, and online publishing. Give audiences an inside look at the work by interviewing company members, documenting rehearsals and process, and sharing your insight.
    • 3. Create a finished product to post as part of an online video series.

Your participation is essential to the reconstruction and reinterpretation of this seminal work.

Your first task: Setup a user account on this site and get blogging!
