This past week, I’ve received feedback on the design and layout of our site. The most common complaint? The navigation on the site was a obscure and hidden. In response, I’ve been looking at different layouts and design for the site, and have put together a new style.
I would love to hear feedback on how this new layout compares to the old layout, and what you would like to see developed further.
It would be very helpful to hear your comments during this redesign process.

Hi Jaki,
Much thanks for this post. Putting nav bar in right-hand column much better. It was too much work going all the way down to bottom of page.
Overall, for me, the good resources you’ve put together and content are more important than spending a lot of time on design. the new design template you’re using with blues works for me.
I’ve enjoyed posts and I’ve been linking to them from news section on Great Dance.
Also, I’d be interested in feedback to my comment from a few days ago.
That’s my two cents.
Hi Jaki
I would like more of an explanation up front — like the one when you click on the Clytemnestra project (I think that’s what you click on) — it’s the page that has Sadira’s picture on it and explains about the Skidmore residency. I’d also like to have the links to media right up front — so there are more visuals immediately obvious. It’s exciting how fast this is material is coming together, and I’d like that to be clear as soon as the home page come up.
sorry — it’s the “About the project” page — I’d find that info helpful on the home page.
Thanks for the comments so far – I’ll keep working through the weekend to make the information available + visible, and feature the updated content.
