Elektra Interview with Blakeley White-Mcguire

This is an interview with Blakeley White-Mcguire, a principal dancer with the Martha Graham Dance Company. This interview was conducted by the students learning the part of Elektra from Blakeley at Skidmore College’s Summer Dance Intensive.

    I just love how she describes what dancing means to her :)

    What a fabulous interview with Blakeley! I was fascinated to hear her speak about the character preparation and her process. She points out that she is only at the beginning of her process and one wonders how deep she will actually go by the time the piece is ready for the public.
